HISTORIC MOVE TO VILLAGE GREEN MALL GOES SMOOTHLY FOR THE ART GUILD AT FAIRFIELD GLADE
The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade’s Fine Art Gallery has moved to the Village Green Mall and the impact on the Mall is noticeable. Original fine art now adorns the previously bare walls of the atrium. A prominent sign identifies the new Art Guild home, that is now in operation and staffed daily by Guild volunteers. Member’s visual and three-dimensional art are on display and for sale.
These will change monthly, or as they are sold. A part of the proceeds provides significant income to the Art Guild for its scholarship and community programs.
The move from the old Gallery site, 128 Wilshire Heights Drive, went quickly and smoothly as members helped move necessary materials and equipment to their new home. The invaluable assistance of Lee’s Moving and Storage of Crossville is noted with appreciation. Much of the Guild’s contents have been stored in a rental space; members volunteer to store the valuable 500 volume library from the Gallery in their homes.
The move to the Village Green Mall was made possible after the owners were approached about possible space for the Art Guild and its housing dilemma described. President Nancy Hamm said, “Thanks to the generosity of Mike and Sue Brown, owner of the Village Green Mall, it will be home to the Art Guild while the Guild continues work toward building a new Gallery in Fairfield Glade.”The Village Green Mall is located in Fairfield Glade.
